JobeeHive on Times Ascent - People EQ of a company

Often companies are dismissed or preserved based on one event or an act of one person. What gets overlooked is while a company can be a one person ‘brand’, it surely isn’t one person organisation

The top story on Times Ascent, which is written by Jhinuk Chowdhury, talks about People EQ of a company and how Satyam is going to bounce back because of its employees.

The article quotes the current rating of Satyam on JobeeHive.com, which is higher than Infosys, TCS or Wipro. It reads..."Even at a fix as this, Satyam has its people quotient quite high. In a professional-social network website Jobeehive.com - focused around user generated rating/review of companies, Satyam gets a rating of 3.8 out of 5.0 by its employees as against Infosys with 3.6, Wipro 2.8 and TCS 3.0.

“While lack of transparency was cited as a detrimental factor, employees are optimistic that Satyam would bounce back,” says Vishwas Mudagal, CEO & founder Jobeehive.com."

guys, with so many websites in your space, criticat, glassdoor, telonu, talentequity, how do you plan to differentiate urself from the rest of the crowd.
also in the current job market, dont u guys feel that company reviews are not important, since all that one is looking for is a job, so how do you think ur website is provide any value add in the slowdown period.

Not relevant to the post but just a suggestion.

i noticed that Atom feeds are mentioned way below on the blog. It is not too late to get a feedburner RSS feed link and display it prominently on the top or widget sidebar. And once we have some 50 subscribers, we can display the FB reader count chicklet - adds credibility.

Since this is on blogger, i guess it is still ok but for my blog on WP, i am having a hell of a time because FB RSS link is different from the default WP link and when i display the chicklet it always shows count=0 despite my having some 15 subscribers.

@Vinayak: We are already different from many competitors because we are a professional network in the back drop. Features that will be released in the near future will clearly make us very useful.

Also, we are seeing that due to recession our traffic levels have increased significantly. Due to the uncertainly, every employee wants to know what people are saying in his/her company. Also, job seekers always want to research employers before they join. So, we are basically seeing a steady increase in our traffic and review count.
